just the fact that our pineal gland is calcified by the age of twelve is a massive set back as this is our third (all-seeing) eye, our spiritual gateway is denied.. its where Dimethyltryptamine is produced one of the most illegal substances wtf is with that
Nature by itself just isn’t as good as intelligent people working with nature to produce an excellent blend of materials and technologies. Paracetamol is just a brilliant way of getting rid of a headache. They’re cheap as chips too. High tech medicines are generally a lot better. They use ‘nature’ and ‘naturally’ harvested crops to attain the ingredients.
Science, technology and profit have prevailed and the required knowledge has become more specialised and lost from the common person.
Once collected or made up by your local chemist has become a modernised abstract product of multinational corp.
The old ways become ‘untold realms’ or ‘black arts’ to some but is evident in any old book. Penicillin’s effect was first discovered in the middle ages but not until after WW1 was it more fully understood and developed for use by the masses.
I like my daily fix of the walking dictionary, formerly known as slaxxxer! Modern herbalism is very similar to the pharmaceutical industry, in the sense that it is only used when someone needs it. The older herbalism is more about prevention rather than cure. In other words, herbs should be used all of the time regardless, and that is how I use them. I use herbs and spices daily. When you look at the pharmaceutical drugs, they derive from nature anyway. Trouble is they want to patent everything.
@slaxxxer I view Pharma, especially that here in the US plastered all over TV adverts etc., as evil. It seems so much less that any of it is really for our own good as the side effects are worse than the cure IMO & more about making the rich richer.
Total tangent but I don’t see how having an excess of money can make anyone truly happy. If I won the lotto tomorrow (I chose the lump sum) I would get my land, my modest house, & help my friends with the rest. Save a little to live on.
i dont like taking anything (pharma drugs) etc its weird, i’m not a big ‘herbal’ natural remedy person either, i think im just used to leaving my body to do what it wants hah my mum always wants me to put creams etc on cuts/bruises or for aches/pains etc but i just leave things xD
hehe “me and ma bum have awl kinds of fun!” hahahahah ^_^ best song ever! me and my willy!
That ring tone was priceless. Mad me laugh. I had to listen to it twice. The look on your face was great too. More than that though, and played back more often, was that gust of wind that blew up. Lovely.
I view pharmaceuticals as the alternative & do not really mind what others think of it. I do like meat & eat meat. I also eat vegetables & will purchase foods without meat like patties and stuff from time to time. I guess as food goes I like what is delicious regardless of label.
@hellavadeal We are cut in the same tailors shop buddy! – maybe not exactly from the same cloth but we recognise the cut of each others suits 100% ;-0)
There was a specific point in history when so called ‘conventional’ medicine (which was new and largely untested at the time) was bigged up by powerful people and more natural medicaments were ridiculed, though prior to that they were predominant. So essentially it was financial in nature (surprise surprise). They’re now outlawing many herbal remedies. But that said a lot of New Agey stuff is manipulative, profiteering and useless.
Anyway, IMO old remedies like herbs, alcohol-based elixirs, vinegar, etc. do work. I use vinegar for insect bites. But I do believe in science, If the emphasis is on curing & not on profit that is. For example: we wouldn’t have the opioid derivative morphine to ease pain without chemistry. Most synthetic drugs are either a copy of a natural molecule or require natural ingredients to synthesis them. I think a healthy balance between pharmacological~alternative is best.
I use vinegar to fight infections.Drug companies use the stuff they extract from nature. But when they started synthesizing it , it is no longer the same . Like when the vitamins fruit gives is turned it a pill the stuff just goes right through you.
Everyone is a philosopher , but not everyone is reasonable.
Another good blog.
